This painting is about the complexities of sexual desire and the unobtainable. The original 'Garden of Earthly Delights' was painted by Hieronymus Bosch in 1510 in oils on a wood panel. This painting was inspired by the scenery in Corfu which I visited in 2012. The painting also owes a debt to Henri Rousseau's jungle paintings which I greatly admire.
